Three words: art school overload.
Residency is Thing after thing after thing after thing. Intense and ephemeral, like summer camp.
And so I’m grateful for anchors: daily sitting (yay!), checking in with Ryan most nights, and the endless variety of snowscapes.

THAT is a lot of snow! Looks like roof collapse time.
Wow. your photos are fab. What are you studying in art school?
@Roger: So far, so good — knock on wood. I just learned that people rake their roofs at times like this.
@Karen: Thank y’ kindly! I’m at this rad progressive-education program at Goddard College: an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts. Basically I’m here for blogging. (Which is weird. But fun! A first, I believe, for the program.) Within that, I’m looking at all kinds of neat stuff: various forms of writing, photography, conceptual art, theory…..we all create our own individual plans of study, which for me has been wonderful in terms of encouraging rigor, depth, and creativity. Anyway, it’s a sweet program for a whole lot of reasons. Hope you’re well!
oh Katie Katie! I greet you and Vermont from down here.
